Quarter Century.

From this little thumbsucker,

I couldn't find my picture in my mom's womb. So let your imagination run wild for this.

To this cute, innocent, pure baby,

I know. She's cute and you seriously wanna pinch those chubby cheeks.

To this fun and full of curiosity little toddler,

Like I said, full of curiosity. Hence, shoelace ribbon.

To this clueless and (TOTALLY) confused teenager,

Need I say more ? -.-

To this big headed, stubborn, and passionate young adult,

Do not let that sweet face fool ya !

And to this sensitive and trying-very-hard-to-be-mature adult.

She did try to be mature, really, just not in pictures.

I am still grasping to the idea of being a quarter of century old. To be honest, I could not believe that I have reached 25. Even my sisters bulged their eyes when I said I'm 25 this year. So right now, I am definitely like this.....

I kinda like the idea of being an adult, but I also like to not be an adult. Being an adult you carry a whole pile of responsibilities on your shoulder. Not literally, but you get the idea (if you're an adult, that is). And those responsibilities, man, they're heavier than you can imagine.

I am not usually the type who care about birthdays. My birthday parties stopped after kindergarten. So from then on, there wasn't much of a celebration. Just a cake, a couple of pictures of me and the cake and that's it. Some years the day went on like every other day. And I quite liked it that way because I'm uncomfortable being the center of attention (eventhough for mere seconds).

But this year, I told myself to embrace the day I was born. It is a mark for something bigger ahead of me. Therefore, it should be enjoyed so that I can be ready for what Allah has planned for me. For what I had planned for myself. It is not the end, it is a beginning.

This year, my birthday is a big deal. Period.

I am truly thankful to Allah. I am under His blessing each and every day. And I pray for it to extend to all my loved ones, family and friends. A year older and wiser, I hope. Alhamdulillah.

I. AM. OFFICIALLY. AN. ADULT.

kthxbye.
